Pre-Order Chinatown Pretty (The Book!)

Our first book is now available for pre-order through major retailers (Amazon, Barnes & Noble) and your favorite independent bookstore. It will ship out on our release date of September 22, 2020.

This book is a culmination of five years worth of street-style scouting in San Francisco, Oakland, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City and Vancouver. We’ve been focusing on putting this together for the past two years and are so excited to finally share the cover and some interior shots with you.

The full-color book features 113 interviews and portraits of seniors we’ve met in Chinatowns across North America — some of whom who’ve never been seen before on the Chinatown Pretty blog.

We feel fortunate that we worked on the book when we did, since we don’t know the next time we will be able to have impromptu interactions with Chinatown residents. Our hope is that this book will provide some human connection and inspiration during these uncertain times, as it did while we were making it. It still does now.

As for the book release, we hope to connect with you online or in-person to celebrate all the amazing people and stories captured in this collection. To receive updates on the book release and upcoming talks, we recommend signing up for our email list for very infrequent updates.
